The United States declares its willingness to provide assistance in connection with the Smolensk plane crash investigation as confirmed by a representative of the White House American National Security Council, Ben Rhodes, althought under the condition that Polish authorities indeed ask for any such help. The American authorities had offered its readiness to help in the Smolensk air crash investigation previously - after the crash. However, the Donald Tusk's cabinet decided not to accept and further did not ask or seek any such help, neither from the American and NATO authorities nor from the European Union.

The recent announcements show that the USA is still ready to provide such support and even more: that whenever the Polish cabinet asks for it, such help would be given.

What is also important is that this announcement was made in connection with the investigation carried out by the Parliamentary committee, which showed that what is the most probable hypothesis is an explosion on board the TU-154, which undermines the Russian theses and Miller's report.

In this situation the USA is ready to send its experts. It is clearly visible that the USA is concerned and aware of the consequences of new facts for the safety of Poland and of Europe and that it understands that it is not possible to ignore it as if it were nothing unusual but it is necessary to solve the issue and react.

According to Antoni Macierewicz, leader of the Parliamentary committee investigating the causes of the air crash: "From the very beginning the authorities connected with PM Tusk's cabinet have been acting as if they didn't want any access to evidence and as if they never wanted to find out the truth and real circumstances of events."
