Smolensk Conference in Warsaw, Poland - October 22, 2012

The Scope and Focus of the Conference

The conference will cover all technical aspects associated with the destruction of the plane TU-154 M irrespective of the technical field to which the matter should be eligible. Papers for the Conference may therefore apply to both general issues related to the mechanics of flight and the mechanics of destruction as well as specific issues related to on-board data analysis, materials testing, research, modeling, simulation and others.

The organization of the conference and the long-term preparation petiod has two focuss areas.  One is on the creating of the forum for discussion and dissemination of interdisciplinary studies related to the 10 April 2010 crash of the Polish Air Force TU-154 in Smolensk, Russia, and the other is collaboration between scientists from different disciplines towards solving various partial problems relating to the general topic of the conference.  To that extent the organizers of the conference are providing the repository for verious materials and sample research resources related to the conference topic.

The sample research resources related to the 2010 Smolensk crash of Polish Air Force TU-154 are organized in the following three groups:

1. Data for computations and Technical Documentations;
2. Existing Reports regarding the crash, and
3. Graphical photographic and image resources.
